Making the trip over to Romsey to play us at home, or hosting us for a match? Here's some information that might help you in advance of game day.
Please reach us at macedonrangerssc@hotmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We train and play our home matches within the Romsey Park Sports Precinct (Park Lane in Romsey), with Romsey Oval 2 our home base. This is not a dedicated football/soccer facility and is used by other sports at times, such as cricket and Little Athletics over summer, however we are the primary user group over winter.
Romsey Oval 2 features a pavilion with home and away changerooms, including toilets and showers, and other rooms such as a public toilet and a room for referees. It does have a small canteen however due to our relatively small size as a club, and depending on how many home games we have on any given weekend, we may not always be able to have a canteen open and available to visitors. In saying that, where practical we will try to open it, and also organise external suppliers such as coffee vans for those colder Macedon Ranges mornings!
In terms of our playing pitches and playing surface, given it is not a dedicated football/soccer facility you can probably guess that we have to do our best to mark out compliant pitches with what we've got, though we do definitely avoid the cricket pitch in the middle of the oval.
We've had some beaut new kits produced that will carry all of our teams through the 2025 and 2026 seasons, with support from our generous sponsors.
Our home shirt features a white and navy base, with a chevron splitting the two colours in the middle and red numbers on the back. Our away shirt features a predominantly navy base, with simple white flecks and white numbers on the back. Both tops are paired with navy shorts and socks.
We recommend to all our teams and players to carry both kits with them at all times to avoid clashes, but if you are travelling to Romsey to play us at home, expect us to wear our white/navy home shirt (and we'd appreciate you sporting your away kit if you have one!). If we're playing you away, we'll generally encourage our teams to wear their navy away shirt.
Take a look at this Facebook post if you want a visual idea of our home and away shirts.
We cannot do what we do without our team of volunteers and we are always looking for more people to get involved.
Roles include: match day helpers, committee members, coaches and team managers.
If you would like to volunteer, please get in touch!
